Pixel Robot is an independent After Effects and motion graphics artist. Having built up an excellent reputation within the industry working for some of London’s biggest agencies and brands, he wanted to solidify that with an identity that reflected the quality and breadth of his work, whilst also communicating something of his personality.
As a visual person Gavin had a strong idea about what he wanted. We helped clarify those thoughts, developing a cool, contemporary take on retro representations of robots from the 1950s – a rich vein of inspiration discussed at the start of the project. As a nod towards the unitized nature of pixels, we used a monospaced typeface, which also visually complements the mark through the simplified nature of its letterforms.
