  • The challenge
    The Cowen Group is a leading financial services company with headquarters in New York and offices located worldwide. The investment research arm of the business felt that the documents being produced weren’t communicating effectively. In partnership with Mike Daines Associates we were commissioned to redesign them.

    The solution
    We developed and applied an appropriate style, layout principals and visual language to a defined set of documents. We provided detailed specifications from which Microsoft programmers built Word and Powerpoint templates for use by the analysts. We commissioned an illustrator to produce sector specific cover images and iconography to help give the documents a distinctive style and aid comprehension.

    The research documents are now easily identifiable, clearly understood and adaptable. meaning that they can be translated into layouts for consumption on mobile devices. We also created the brand identity for Cowen’s marquee product – ‘Ahead of the Curve‘ – an industry acclaimed series of in-depth research reports.
